Taby & Emi – Winter Wedding Livonia

Well hi again, everyone!

Let’s give it up for a special couple, who just so happen to be newlyweds. Congratulations, Taby and Emi!

I really enjoyed photographing Taby and Emi’s wedding in December at Betel Romanian Pentecostal Church – Taylor, MI, and reception at Barrister Gardens – Clair Shores.

I met Taby and Emi for the first time when I took their engagement photos at Millenium Park in Chicago and we hit it off. It was brutal cold outside but they had no problems taking photos as they love Chicago architecture.

Their wedding day was impressive. From the church to the reception all the community was there to celebrate Taby and Emi’s marriage. Just as the couple said: ” Being surrounded by family and friends and just enjoying the day being together with everyone and having a good time. Simply finally marrying the love of my life made my day special. ”

The wedding day started early in the morning with the couple’s first look:

Followed by the celebration and blessings at the Betel Romanian Pentecostal Church in Taylor, MI.

Once the wedding ceremony was done, the guests and couple headed to Barrister Gardens Banquet Center in Clair Shores to celebrate. Why did they choose this venue Taby said: “The modern and simple feeling. It wasn’t decorated crazy on the walls but rather was simple and elegant. Also – the space.” 

The couple said the most important thing at their wedding was: “It was the church ceremony because that is when we actually commit to one another in front of hundreds of people and finally taking that step was very important. The second most important thing for us was for everyone to just enjoy it and have a good time. We didn’t want anyone to feel stressed but rather just be excited.”

Once the celebration was over and the guests left Barrister Gardens Banquet Center, we took the couple for a winter photo session around Livonia IL.

” Magical, it was like a fairytale. It was better than I expected and just such an easy day, not as stressful as we thought it was going to be.,” says Taby.

• What advice would you give to brides and grooms planning their day?

Don’t stress out about anything especially little details. At the end of the day, the only thing that will matter is that you marry your best friend and you’re both happy. Also, don’t fight about little things. Planning gets stressful and sometimes that takes out the fun in getting married. If you try to leave the stress and fighting behind then everything will truly go well and it will be the best day ever.

• Where did you go on honeymoon?

I wish Taby and Emi many more years of love and happiness!!
