Adrian and Rodica – Wedding Photos in Detroit
Wedding Photos Detroit
Adrian and Rodica
I met Adrian and Rodica a year ago at a Romanian Pentecostal wedding in Detroit which I was shooting. Adrian was very pleased with the wedding albums that we created for his friend. Like most of our clients, he was referred to us and we were hired to photograph his own Romanian pentecostal
wedding in Detroit on March 23rd.
Getting ready
I went to Adrian’s house early in the morning to take photos of the groom getting ready. All the groomsmen and his family visiting from Europe were at his house. Afterwards, we went to Rodica’s house to shoot the bride getting ready. The hair stylist did a good job and was on time so I began shooting Rodica right away. She was nervous, yet at the same time, she loved posing and smiling. Her bridesmaids helped her get ready and soon after, Adrian arrived at her house accompanied by the groomsmen and his family. They had a first look and the groom offered the bouquet to the bride.
Ceremony
The next step was to go to the Bethel Romanian Pentecostal Church where the ceremony was held. The service lasted for 3 hours while we continued snapping photos. The bride and groom received their blessings from the pastors and families. Media in Black gave their support to transmit the ceremony live so the brides’ fat
her and other family members who were unable to attend could watch the entire ceremony.
Reception
After the Romanian wedding in Detroit, the reception took place at Bint Jbeill Cultural Center in Dearborn Michigan. It was exciting to see so many
families chatting together and giving their blessings to the bride and groom. The tables were greatly designed and decorated with beautiful flower arrangements made by “Flowers by Neli.”
Photo Session
Once the reception was over we went to River Walk by the GM building for some family and bridal shots. I have to admit, I was amazed at how much energy and enthusiasm the bridal party had at taking pictures. It was freezing and windy so we moved quickly to the Ford Field Stadium for some creative photos.
I had so much fun photographing the bride and groom on the football field where so many big names play for the Detroit Lions. It was so hard to get the bridal party moving. They were playing and having fun. Finally, the bride, groom and the entire bridal party brought jerseys of their favorite
players to wear. As a wedding and pre-wedding photographer, this touch of personality made my night.
