Hello, blog readers!
Polish Wedding
I’ve got another wonderful wedding for you guys today! This time a polis wedding that took place at European Crystal Banquets. The couple consists of Anna and Pietr, two people that anyone would love to know and the youngest bridal party!
The wedding ceremony took place in Weeling at The Saint Joseph the Worker. It was a beautiful full catholic mass.
Their wedding day was truly unique. It was pretty intimate and we had a photo session with the couple and bridal party at Center for Arts in Schaumburg. The park was getting ready for an evening concert but we were lucky enough to get the portraits done before people started to gather.
The bride’s dress was seriously gorgeous, too. And I’m not just saying that! We had a lot of fun taking wedding pictures, as well. They decided to see each other before the ceremony so it was easy to get lots of images of the wedding couple.
As I mentioned, the reception was at European Crystal Banquets and we took some photos around the venue as well.
As the guests started to arrive I could hear very often ” Gratulujemy! Życzymy Wam wszystkiego, co najlepsze!” which means ” Wishing the both of you all the happiness in the world.”
Once the couple made their way to the table everybody starts singing the song “Sto lat” (“100 years”) and is the same song you will hear being sung at birthday parties, presidential inaugurations. Here are the words:
Sto lat, sto lat, niech żyje/żyją, żyje/żyją nam.
Sto lat, sto lat, niech żyje/żyją, żyje/żyją nam,
Jeszcze raz, jeszcze raz, niech żyje/żyją, żyje/żyją nam, niech żyje/żyją nam!
which means:
A hundred years, a hundred years, we want him/her/them to live.
A hundred years, a hundred years, we want him/her/them to live,
Once again, once again, we want him/her/them to live, we want him/her/them to live.
They danced to their first song Better Together which was played by DJ Jarek Maciejewski.
Anna and Piotr were such a delight to work with and I wish them many wonderful years to come.
