Luke and Amanda – Engagement Photography Woodstock

We met Luke and Amanda at our studio to talk about their future wedding plans in December at Rockton – Orchard. Luke and Amanda were excited for their wedding and will plan to use our services for their special day. We planned the engagement photo session in the Woodstock area during the end of March to match their future wedding photos with the same snowy theme. Engagement photography in Woodstock is an absolutely fantastic choice for the end of winter, because this is a location that looks very clean in the snow and I can focus on the couple without much distractions.

We first started the photoshoot at Emerikson Park. Luke and Amanda were telling me that this was a location that they spent a lot of time together and it was a place that had personal importance to them. We walked around the park and found some great locations where the couple could spend their alone time together. They rolled a giant snowball together and put Mrs. and Mr. signs on top with their engagement ring in the middle. We captured a lovely shot of them hovering over the giant snowball and spending a couple of moments kissing each other.

As Luke and Amanda were walking hand and hand, we stopped by a little bench and showed the beautiful sky with the winter trees and snow beneath. The sky that day was a bright blue and very clear to see. Later on, we found a swing-set where the couple had fun flying in the air together while they were holding hands. In this location, you could start to see the signs of spring peaking through, so we got a couple of shots with the couple sitting next to trees with freshly green leaves starting to appear.

After the couple had a small snowball fight, we left the location and went to the Woodstock square where there was a lot of fun and interesting scenery to incorporate. We stopped by a deep blue fence and had Luke and Amanda share some romantic hugs and kisses with each other in front of it. I really like the contrast in this photo because the couple was wearing black, almost dark blue, winter outfits and the fence behind them was so much brighter. To the end the day, we stopped by a corner store with big windows and had the couple stand on the other end of the corner while I photographed them through the window. The couple hugged and kissed each other through the glass and then smiled back at the camera. What a great way to end the engagement photography in Woodstock.
