Engagement Session in Chicago with Michelle and Jerry
It was so nice to see Michelle and Jerry again. We had met some time ago to discuss their wedding plans. The couple will be getting married in August at the Independence Grove in Libertyville, IL. We met up with them in Chicago city a couple of days ago for their engagement photo session. It was a lot of fun. We first started at Millennium Park and then took some photos in front of the Chicago Theater. To finish up, we photographed the couple on La Salle Bridge and then at Lincoln Park.
Michelle wore a purple dress with dark purple accents and black leather boots and Jerry wore a pair of jeans and a nice button up shirt. The weather was nice out as spring has just broken through the cold winter. We first photographed the couple standing in front of the Cloud Gate, one of my favorite locations. It was a bit crowded so we decided to move to the famous Chicago Theater that was close by to get a little bit more of an interesting backdrop. We walked around town and found interesting locations and monuments to capture with the couple while there.
Once we were done photographing downtown, the couple was looking for a more excluded area in Chicago with less crowds so we headed over to La Salle Bridge. I love the architecture here and personally I think it gives a great opportunity for the couple to get more personal and romantic with one another. We captured a couple of shots of Michelle and Jerry walking hand and hand and Jerry swinging Michelle around in circles. I suggested we end the engagement photo session at Lincoln Park so we could see a little bit more of nature peaking through in the background.
The newly engaged couple walked side by side together while at Lincoln Park. We were close to the water, so they decided to sit on the pier and we were lucky enough to get some ducks passing us by while we were shooting the photo session.
