Bright lights, towering buildings, and the buzz of city life – that’s what we had in store for Lauren and Mike’s vibrant urban engagement session a couple weeks ago. We hit the bustling streets of Chicago along the windy shores of Lake Michigan and we are so excited that we were able to use Millennium Park, Buckingham Fountain and Adler Planetarium as a backdrop, along with Chicago Skyline view from the Planetarium area!
We’ll mix images from the engagement session with their story!

How they met
“We both were on a dating app and matched with each other. After talking a little we subsequently figured out that we lived directly across the hall from each other in the same building of the same apartment complex! We hung out a few times and within a few weeks, we were inseparable! The rest is history.”
These two were full of energy, and I love that they wore beautiful outfits. We were amazed on Lauren endurance to walk around the city with her high hills shoes. It was the perfect complement to the colorful, electric city backgrounds we were working with throughout the shoot.
- Tips or advice for other couples about to have engagement photos taken? “Ladies, if you’re going to wear heels, BRING FLIP FLOPS OR FLATS! Doru and Claudia reminded me to bring them and I still forgot! lol I ended the day with only a few blisters, but felt I held up the pack a little moving from location to location. Don’t bring too many things with you, either. Otherwise, just have fun with it! ” said Lauren.
