Terri and Mark – Engagement Photo Session at Fort Sheridan Forest Preserve
You don’t have to ask me twice to head to Sheridan Fort Forest Preserve –a shoreline forest preserve with rolling terrain & trails. Great place for an engagement shoot!
That’s where I photographed Terri and and Mark, and it was an absolute dream session in every way. We headed to the shore at around 5:00Pm just when the sun was getting softer, which made the light especially rich, and the lake Michigan waters a deep blue.
Terri told me all about how Mark and her met. “Mark and I met at the gym through a mutual friend. Mark is a powerlifter and I do Crossfit. Our friend introduced us one night after we were done working out and later suggested we go on a date as she knew we were both single.”
She also filled me in on the proposal. “Mark knows that my cat TIkka is my first true love. He got a customized collar to have her wear and bribed her with treats all day long so that he could even put it on her! When I came home from work she was wearing the collar that said “Mom, please tell Mark yes”. I found him standing in our bedroom with the ring.”
Of course, she said Y-E-S! Their wedding date is set for October 17th. They will be getting married at the beautiful Lowes Chicago O’Hare Hotel in Rosemont and their reception will be at the same location. “There’s no one specific vendor or detail that we are excited about for the wedding day, but rather are just excited for our families to get together and have a fun and relaxing time. With 2020 being such a stressful year, we just want everyone to have a good time celebrating something positive together. I am personally excited to wear my wedding dress just like most girls dream! ”
They’re not just excited about the details, though. They’re also excited to spend the rest of their lives together. It’s so clear that this couple is head-over-heels for each other!
Last part of the engagement photo session from Sheridan Forest Preserve was done on the hill against the Fort. Looking forward capturing their big day in October!!
