DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago Wedding Photos

        Blake and Steve’s wedding at Double Tree by Magnificent Mile, Chicago.

We first got to know Blake when she came by our studio looking for a Chicago wedding photographer some time last year. We had done an engagement photo session with her and her fiancé during the Chicago winter, which you can check out here. The time really flew fast, because it felt like only yesterday we took the engagement photos and now it’s already their wedding.

Claudia went with the ladies for the getting ready photos.
Claudia and I started the day at Double Tree by Magnificent Mile, Chicago.

In the room where Blake was getting ready, the bridesmaids had custom t-shirts of Blake’s wedding date printed on the back and saying birdsmaids.

Blake wore beautiful silver heels with silver pedals running along the shoe and a traditional white wedding dress with veil.
As Steve was getting ready, both his mom and dad helped tie his tie.

I went with the guys to take pictures of the getting ready process.
We then headed out of the hotel for the first look reveal.
When Steve saw his beautiful wife in her wedding dress for the first time, he got very emotional.

After the first look we then left in a limo and went to have a small photo session at Adler Planetarium.

Even though everyone was experiencing the unfriendly summer heat and UV haze, the Chicago skyline in the background always makes it worthwhile and it’s such an amazing site to see.
The bridal party had a lot of fun posing for the camera in front of the fountain.

While I was working one-on-one with the couple, Claudia took her time to create some fun photos with just the bridal party at the Planetarium.

This is such a famous location and the fountain has been featured in the background in several movies.

We later moved from the Planetarium to take more wedding photos at Buckingam Fountain.
There was a beautiful Ketubah signing before the ceremony had begun.
The flower girl at the wedding was incredibly cute. She had a pink dress on with a bright pink flower in her hair.
We returned back to Double Tree by Magnificent Mile, Chicago for the family photos and to begin the ceremony.

It was a fun night with lots of great songs being played.

The father/daughter dance was Here Comes the Sun and the mother/son dance was My Wish.

  • What a beautiful wedding at the Hilton in Chicago! I am so in love with all of the photos you took at the Planetarium in front of the Buckingam Fountain of the entire bridal party. I love that even with their modern wedding, they still had a traditional ceremony under a chuppah and the breaking of the glass. Gorgeous job at documenting a special day!
