Lauren and Patrick – Fall Engagement Session at Veteran Acres Park in Crystal Lake
I love when I’m photographing a gorgeous and super in-love couple like Lauren and Patrick, who were constantly stealing kisses and wrapping themselves up in each other throughout our one hour engagement session! Patrick wore a maroon shirt with tan pants and Lauren wore a black dress with flowers.
Our shoot started at Veteran Acres main area and then we moved to the forest area to change things up a little bit. I love that I didn’t have to prompt them at all to lean in and get close, either. Can’t you feel that passion and heat through your screen?
I asked these two about their love story, and Lauren told me “ Patrick and I met on an online dating app called Bumble. We matched, went out on a date and then went on a second date the very next day!”
As for the proposal, Lauren said, “We visited Chicago for a few days in March of this year. We went out to breakfast and then took a walk around Maggie Daley park. I was completely surprised by the proposal! A couple years ago, we were in Chicago and Patrick gave me one of those gumball machine rings – this time, after almost four years, I got the real thing!! .”
And can we talk about the ring?
Lauren is excited about the dress, the cake and the location of their wedding… but she is the most excited to marry her best friend! The wedding will talke place next July at the wonderful Boulder Ridge Golf Course.
Here is what Lauren had to say about the look she was after: “It was so nice outside that day (despite it being a bit windy!) I liked that I was able to wear a dress and Patrick could wear short sleeves. These clothes were comfortable and I thought we coordinated well.”
Lauren thinks that was so much fun to just walk around and laugh with her fiancé while enjoying the beautiful weather. I totally agree! I did enjoy walking with them and capture the love
they have for each other.
How was your overall experience at the engagement session I asked the couple?
Their answer was: ” Patrick and I still talk about how much fun we had that day! I liked when we went exploring and found a whole other area of Veterans Acres Park that I had never been to before. We had a wonderful experience and are looking forward to seeing the photos!”
