There’s so much love in the air and the bride and groom spent so much time carefully planning all the details. It was not any different for Cheryl and Josh wedding at Double Tree Arlington Heights, either!
They danced to their first song Kissed by a Rose -Seal, which was played by DJ Paul Michaels.
Everything took place a the Double Tree. It started with the getting ready and end it with the big party!
Cheryl and Josh met trough The Hinge Application. They met at Logan Square Arcade for their first date December 23, 2014.
and here is how Josh proposed:
” Josh tricked me into planning his surprise birthday part in August 2017 with his family. Behind my back it was actually a surprise proposal for me with both of our families there. He got me!! I was so shocked!”
Okay, enough talk. Let’s move on to photos! Check out this gorgeous couple!
When I asked Cheryl what her favorite part of the wedding was, she said:
“Being lifted up in the chair and dancing the night away with my friends and family.”
Here are some tips Cheryl was kind to give:
Overal Experience: It was amazing and went by too fast!
– What advice would you offer to other couples planning a wedding? Save $1,000 to spend the month before. There are so many last minute items to get.
-What photography-related advice would you offer to a couple? Go with a friends referral. You were amazing and I thank Tracy for the reference!
-Tell me about your dress. Where did you find it, how did you choose it, how did you know it was the one? David’s Bridal. I found it online and I knew I had to try it on! I lined up 3 appointments that day with David’s Bridal being last because of this dress. When I tried it on I knew it was the one!! I loved the way it hugged my curves.
How was your experience taking photos/working with me on your wedding day? Amazing!!! You knew I was stressed about time but kept things moving till the last second we had to go in for the Ketubah signing. I feel confident the pictures will turn out amazing!!
-Did you see each other before the wedding? If not, did you like waiting or would you have rather done it differently? Tell me why or why not! We did a first look because all the pictures of just us would be done before the ceremony. I wouldn’t have done it any other way
-Any tips that you have about preparing your wedding party for the photos? What did you tell them, how did you get them to cooperate, what did you do or what would you have done differently? I didn’t really have any issues with my bridesmaids. One didn’t really like her hair and the other one was trying to fix it which took away some time.
-What were you most anxious, nervous or fearful about regarding your wedding day and what was the outcome? Time! Always fighting the clock!
What’s one piece of advice you would give to other couples for planning their wedding? Try to be an earlier appointment at the salon or you stylist who is coming. Ours ran behind. Save $1,000 for last minute purchases.
It was a great wedding! I wish Josh and Cheryl many more years of love and happiness!!
