Saturday, May 25th, 2019, was Tim and Katelyn’s special day!
But before everything, Tim and Katelyn met 10 years ago during college. Tim later proposed on a beach in Fort Meyers, Florida. We photographed the engagement session in the Northwestern suburbs of Chicago, they even brought their dog along!
Getting Ready at Acquaviva Winery in Maples Park IL
The wedding took place at the Acquaviva Winery in Maple Park. The wedding venue is one of the most unique, beautiful places we’ve ever photographed. The winery is just outside of Chicago area, and the staff there is great. Suzanne was all over the place making sure everything is taking care of it.
They started out with the getting ready which lead to the first look .The first look took place outside through the vines.
Wedding Photography Acquaviva Winery
All the photos were done on Acquaviva property, the Bridal party had use of the pool-house and the grounds. We loved working with Katelyn and Tim! They are a DREAM to photograph. They gave us plenty of time to take advantage of the surroundings at Acquaviva Winery and they relied on our creativity 100%!!!
The Outdoor Ceremony Acquaviva Winery
After a photo session with Tim, Katelyn, and their bridal party, the ceremony began. It was a beautiful outdoor ceremony which featured a pinky promise, ring and vow exchange, and a special wine mixing tradition. The bride and groom mixed one glass of white wine and one glass of red wine!
We finished the creative portraits in the wine barrel room with Katelyn and Tim. Again, Aquaviva proved to be filled with photo opportunities.
Reception and Party
A grand entrance started the reception, which was then followed by the cake cutting. Since their furry baby couldn’t be there, they had a real life size of it made from a photo. The bride and groom also had a mirror photo booth for the guests to enjoy. The dinner was delicious and followed by several speeches from the parents, maids of honor, and best men! The guests had a lot of fun dancing, taking photos and enjoying cigars outside the venue on the terrace. We even had a chance to get Katelyn and Tim outside for few photos in the sunset.
It was a pleasure to be a part of this beautiful and special day.
