We are so happy we chose Doru Halip and his wife Claudia as our wedding photographers! My husband Greg and I are from Minneapolis and we are both very detail-oriented. We decided to undertake a long distance wedding in downtown Chicago, because we love the city and its great architecture. After much searching on the internet, we found Doru and his company The H-Photography. His portfolio on his website and his samples on his blog stood out above all the other photographers in our price range. He has a great eye and is excellent at incorporating the environment and the architecture of the city into his photos.
For our engagement photos, Doru worked by himself and led us on a two-hour photo shoot through Millenium Park. The rain that day was a bit of surprise but we made the best of it and the photos turned out wonderful. For the Wedding Day, Doru’s wife Claudia assisted with the photography and the two of them did an outstanding job working together as they captured our day traversing from the Swissotel to Grant Park and then to the Signature at the Hancock Tower.
We are incredibly happy with the amazing number of unique and well-composed photos we received from both of them. The number of photos they took throughout the day was impressive but the quality and the composition was even better. Doru and Claudia did a great job working “on-the-fly” with us. We didn’t have time to fully script the locations and timing for the photo-shoot but they were able to lead the show and come up with awesome ideas.
After the event was over, we were given loads of compliments from all of our family and friends saying how on-top-of every special moment Doru and Claudia were during the event. We both are very excited to recommend Doru for anybody that is looking to have a wonderful photographer that is truly unique and can capture the energy and beauty of your special day. His work is seriously incredible! You will not regret it! We were so impressed!

Well, it was a perfect day for us!!! Besides the fact that the entire day went without absolutely no problems, Doru and Claudia Halip completed our day by making us feel like superstars. Wedding days go by very fast for the bride and groom and without an incredible photographer many things will go by unnoticed. Doru and Claudia captured all the best moments of our day so beautifully that we can now relax and replay our special day over and over again by looking at our unbelievable photos.
