Wedding photos from Fernanda & Peter’s Special Day
I recently had the honor of photographing a truly unique and heartfelt wedding in Ingleside, IL, right by the bride and groom’s stunning lakeside home. It was a perfect setting for a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
The ceremony took place outdoors, with the serene lake as the backdrop, under a beautifully decorated arch that added a touch of elegance to the natural setting. Fernanda made her way down the aisle with her adorable daughter, Ema, by her side, who also had the special role of being the ring bearer. It was a touching sight to see mother and daughter share this moment, and it made the ceremony even more meaningful.
Adding to the charm, two of the couple’s close friends performed live music during the ceremony—one playing the violin and the other on the pan flute. The combination of these instruments filled the air with a beautiful, emotional soundtrack, perfectly complementing the vows that followed. The vows themselves were incredibly moving, and I could see more than a few guests shedding tears as the couple exchanged their heartfelt promises to one another.
One of the most exciting elements of the evening was the blend of music that celebrated Fernanda’s Brazilian heritage and Peter’s Romanian roots. The DJ seamlessly played traditional music from both cultures, creating an energetic fusion that brought guests together from both worlds. Brazilian rhythms filled the air, followed by lively Romanian folk tunes, and it was incredible to see everyone enjoying the vibrant mix of cultures. The dance floor stayed full as guests embraced the music, dancing well into the evening, celebrating not just the couple’s love but the coming together of their two unique backgrounds.
After the ceremony, we took plenty of photos, both with and without guests, capturing all the emotions, the joy, and the special bonds of the day. Once the formal photos were complete, it was time for everyone to gather under the tent for the reception.
One of the most unforgettable moments from Fernanda and Peter’s wedding was when Fernanda, in a spontaneous and joyful move, decided to step into the lake in her wedding dress! As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the water, Fernanda waded into the lake, her gown floating around her. It was a breathtaking scene—her radiant smile, the dress shimmering against the reflections of the water. The moment felt magical, and the photos we captured were absolutely exquisite, full of life, beauty, and the essence of Fernanda’s adventurous spirit.
It was a day filled with emotional moments, laughter, and celebration, and I was thrilled to capture it all for Fernanda, Peter, and their family.
